Are You Crazy?
Imagine offered a scholarship, what will be your natural response?
Obviously, take it up right? But what if you know this is not where God wants you to be at. Or you know that this option will shortchange you for certain things in life?
If you give up the scholarship, what will the world say to you?
It's so easy to just go with the flow of life, follow trends & do whatever that everyone is doing. This is because it will be seemed as socially acceptable. But is man's recognition what we should really seek for?
Who do we really live for? The society's recognition, our parents' approval or our peers' admiration?
I really don't think.
I want any of these.

It's been a long while since many people commented on my entries. But to clear things up, nope I wasn't offered a scholarship. It was just a hypothetical situation, arising from a conversation I had with my friend .
But still, it was good hearing out from everyone what they will do when facing such issues. :)

Strange as it sounds, if offered a scholarship, I'll immediately say no.
(Unless it was a scholarship for a nature-/conservation-based study).

dajie.. what scholarhip was that? haiz.. i want the RSAF de.. but i dun qualify.. (i would've qualified it i were either an A Level holder or a male...) but anyway, juz do what u feel is the best 4 u, so that u won't have regrets later in ur life. jiayou! take care!

Carmen: LOL. I'm already thought of as weird in the course already - even by a few lecturers - so "crazy" doesn't even begin to cut it. :P Besides, I like crazy. LOL.

the world will say " U R STUPID".
ur family will say "do what u want to, as long u like it.we want u to be happy."
ur friends will say either "take it, it help u loosen ur financial burden and can go overseas study somemore!" OR "up to u, but we will support u all the way."
u will say "i dunno. can help lessen family burden wor~, then can go overseas study...so good opportunity but later come back muz kena bonded then exams muz all be A1 and distinction, so stressed! too tough le!"
in the end, u cant make ur decision. well, that's wat i think lar...i m a family person....if it's me, i will take it to ease my family's burden and then try to choose my interest areas within the allowed courses of study. :P

Sorry but I have to say, it's more than just for yourself. There's so much more to think about.
Butthen once you've made a decision, you have to believe in it and don't regret. Don't look back on life and regret.

uhm are u crazy?
yes i would belong to the world then.
2 things u need to consider:
is
1st) scholarship against the bible.
2nd) is it god will tht u have to reject the bible.
sorry but it sounds awfully silly for u to reject the scolarship.
unless its something u dun want to do.
but if it is then i dun see what is the problem.
but i mean huh!?????
