BLACK OUT!

Areas in Hougang, Clementi, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang went pitch black around 10pm last night.

n slow Carmen still took a few sec to realise becos..

she was on d phone with a yr 1 junior explaining how to do marketing journals..well, phonelines dun get cut off.. so u dun get the instant shock unless u r watching tv or listening 2 radio

n my laptop still had light. cos it was running on its batteries & most amazingly.. i was still connected to the world!! woo hooo...

but i had to end the call abruptly cos my parents & sista was kinda making a commotion in the hse. so d cool n calm me just looked out of the window & said,"ya, its black out. everywhere no light"

I took several pictures of the cars on the streets cos my hse is super near the roads but cun really see clearly (duh..there was no lights) but basically it was to illustrate the pt there was no electricity anywhere

its at these strange moments that u start looking for the touchlight, candles & my my my family actually found them! haa... my neighbour went 2 cheers to get some candles but he said it was all sold out.. including d touchlights!

n i am def gonna get at least 3 battery operated fans sometime tis week..... it was so warm!

everyone went 2 sleep in my hse except me cos i wanted 2 die die also wait for electricity to return. n yes it did, at 1203am, power was restored!

Praise God for tat..its really in such moments that i learn 2 appreciate wad God has given us. Singaporeans r so blessed.. we just take all the electricity arnd us for granted. it shows how dependent we r on electricity too.. man really feels lost without lights n fans n aircon! we really shldnt take things for granted, man!

hope it was a good lesson for all of us..

went 2 school for the radio forum..actually wasnT suPPosed 2 go one..but then vincent cldnt go in the end cos it clashed with his Lesson so i went 2 cover the eveNt on his behalf for StopreSS (chinese edition).. yesh..i am in chinese edition.. dun gawk.. haa

oh ya it was cool covering the event..taking pics taking NOtes.. i wanted 2 ask mr jimmy tay some qns..in d end, he asked me to talk to d rest at the reception..well, so i dragged shy kaiyan & faith up as well..it was a rather good fup session..though they din answer my qn exactly.. :(

but the key pt thing i wanna say is: lets not just go with the flow... even though goIng overSeas does have its benefits, maybe we shld stOp n think wad Do we reaLLi want to do? everyone is different lor n it doesnt mean when u go abroad, tat it is the best choice.. widening horizOns can be done in many aspects as well, need nt necc be studying abrOad.

in fact, one might just be fine graduating with a diploma & working after tat.

it all depends all.. i think some pple turn out worse after returning from abroad.

the search for the missing hamster...
went 2 buy pet stuff today!! so happie cos bought new bedding, food & sand for them..but i think the food was a little x..think next time buy the cheaper one.i think the auntie was super happie 2 have me as a customer keep recommending...haa.. n ya while i was cleaning the cage..my hamster (tarzaN) escaped from the container i put him in..n i cldnt find him..n its the second time he did tat!!! but thankfully he appeared later on (my mum said on the weighing scale in my sis rm) wundered wad he was doing dere..

aniwae today is kinda a great Day for me cos after caregrp, my good freen michelle came over my place..we had a really good chat n she is sound asleep now.. so i think i shld be Joining her soon..

this place is real dusty. whY? cos i have been too busy & lazY to upDate

time flies. next week is week 1 to school... Mr. D said it wil be a tough semester, i agree. with new subjects like audio, cam, film, bmr, jap n aPEL!!! its not gonna be easy.. oh yes. how cld we forget mr entreneurship?

cUn believe we r yeaR 2s. they call us juniors. n the yeaR ones freshman. n the year three seNiors.. mayBe year 2s shld be called seniors n yr3s called old birds. haa.. i haven seen the yr ones yet though some commented that the gUrLs were quite chIo....but tats rAther seCondarY rite??

i am gonna m'sia tis sat n wll be out on sunday midnite.. dunno how i will survive the morning 9am lecture. bt guess shld be fine cos its Mr. D who's teaching..i won dare 2 fall asleep aniwae..haa

watched Infernal affairs 1 on my vcd player just now. cool show. prob one of d best HK movies i have watched recently. the plot is terrific! n andy lau is still so dashing despite being old enuff 2 be my dad! haa..well, actually my dad used 2 be a policeman but too bad he doesnt have andy lau's looks...

if anione wanna catch the show, just let me know. i have parts 1, 2 & 3. all original so mata wun catch u even if u watch it..haa

haven updated for a long time.. maybe write some stuff before i leave for batam on monday for church camp!!..woo hoO!! looking fwd to geting away siah!! seems like a lot of churches having church camp tat week also cos mani frens of mine seemed to be going too..

oh yah.. i am in class 01..gonna take film theory, so in the same class as pple like shufen, sharon, yinglan etc.. kinda really happie i got my elective n the bonus! i got Jap for my CDs!! yeah.. praise God indeed.. cos it has alwas been a dream to either learn an instrument properly or study Jappie! heard from my fren tat it is not 2 bad as long as one studies hard for it...so i guess shld be fine for me.. cun wait for skol 2 start!!

okok.my entry is kinda full of exclamation marks cos i am really typing tis at a veri fast rate. n trying 2 talk in MSN with my church youths....but a few pple r talking at the same time.. n i think i am lagging behind.. nvm...

in case for those who r wondering what have i been doing this holiday.. (actually like who cares rite..haha..stop deluding yourself carmen) i have been busy attending sessions at a Christian youth org called SIngapore Youth FOr Christ.they r organising many sessions on interesting topics such as "Why does God allow suffering", "Cool Looks", "Fasting & Praying" etc.. i am also meeting up some youths for BIble studies n also my church youths to help them with their Chinese O level wich I am so glad its finally over!!! haa.. cun imagine i managed to study so mani words tat time..so tough!!

holidays have been a fulfilling time as I reflect on a lot of things in my life N i am also really glad 2 take a break from school work n assignments to be serving God in a greater capacity which i really truly enjoy! I feel that there r many interesting lessons tat i learn n grow in my character as I serve God in the different areas.

really truly thankful. n now the thankful soul is kinda hungry.
