Random

Like of all things, my aircon is down. Irony is that I rarely use it unlike my folks & sister who switch it on everyday.

I suspect it decided to go bonkers since it feels under-utilised.

Well.

We only have 2 more months to end of SIP! Time flies huh. Aug is coming to an end and Sept is just rnd the corner.

Even though there's lotsa stuff for me to do at work, I for the million times, am really thankful 2 be at Tv12. Other than the skills I have picked up, i really appreciate the friendly working environment and flexible work hrs.

And my supervisor just amuses me whenever she thanks me for every little thing i do. Good lar... before she starts scoldin me again.

I am supposed 2 be doing some work lar but i am like so sian.. have been wasting time surfin n dunno doing what!

Okay better go and update my logbook with my boring entries.

I need to...

- get a new ATM card cos i misplaced my old one. it's somewhere in the hse. i just cun find it!

But in a way, it's a gd thing not to have an ATM card, if not i think i will just draw out all my cash & spend excessively.

- pay my long OVERDUE library fines. I think i owed NLB for years liao.

COS i always have a problem of not returning my books on time. Maybe it's a better idea not to have a library card at all.

PLUS

- new hairdo?
- new clothes?
- new man in my life?

But only if he looks like this...

Chapter 2

2. “两罐凉茶, 还有马博咯一包。 ”

她愣了以会儿。什么?他几时抽起烟来?

“香烟要满。。。18岁。。。才能买。 ”

他往常惺忪的俩眼突然亮了起来,对她翻了个白眼。

“小妹,未满18岁的人是你啦。。。 ”

“我不管,把身份证拿出来! ”她理直气壮地说道。

他停顿了一刻,然后像发疯似的在狭小的杂货店狂笑。。。

You can be a star too!

Hiyah, wasted my vote.

Goodbye.

Never mind, skol has started. Concentrate on your tutorials & attending lectures.

Maybe you will have a better future doing that. =)

Come to think of it, Singaporeans are more interested in becoming superstars than presidents. Maybe the next round of president elections, they can launch Project President or President Idol.

Then finally, we will have 2000 people queuing up to get the application forms. Whether they qualify or not is a different matter.

But in order to win, you better learn a third language. So tat you can sing An Jing like Taufik or thank all your supporters in Mandarin.

Ha.

Blogging privacy

Went to watch Must Love Dogs-courtesy of Cheok's free tix. Not too bad a show, I must say. Diane Lane is so beautiful! She's old but yet so charming... Loved the soundtrack too! And surprise! Vince & Denise also were in the same cinema as us. Then later we went 2 meet up with Bin & Ally at Pepper Lunch.

XXX

His blog is down for some reason. And my gut feeling tells me it has gotta do with me. I shouldn't have left the tag there. But i just wanted to encourage him that someone is praying for him. I mean it doesn't matter if I know him or not right?

For the first time, I wasn't just kaypohing around. I was truly concerned about his situation. But well, now i can only just pray for him and hope tat everything is fine.

I think those reading this will be clueless about it but really, it's this whole issue of privacy of blogging. Like some bloggers can't wait to share their life stories to the whole world. While others just only want their good friends to read their online anecdotes.

Well, well. Which category do you fall into?

SLEEPING BEAUTY

Trying to listen to the songs on radio but the TV set in the living room is drowning out every part of it.

I am feeling sleepLY!

I fell asleep while Ally & Bin were working on PP at my place last nite. It always happens! I fall asleep when pple r at my house. It's like so embarrassing. They woke me up when they were leaving my place... Then i went back 2 sleep again.

Then i slept till 11 plus tis morning. I really needed the rest man! Cos i have been sloggin so hard for the weekdays & weekends are always burnt out for ministry, friends & church blah blah.

Then after St E i went to great world with my mum. And while she was talking 2 her friend, i sensed my sleeping bug hitting me. Sheesh.. How can i feel sleeply in a foodcourt?

Well, I finally took a 5 min power nap while the bus travelled from orchard to dhoby ghaut.

It's time 2 hit the bed! Even though it's only 1109. oh man, i am growing older or wad?

Chapter One

Love her for who she is

Man, I left work at 1am?

Anyway, I have just changed to a new supervisor. Initially, i wasn't sure how things were gonna turn out. But well, I have gotten to noe her better these two days and boy, she's real funnY!

She used to be a scriptwriter for PCK so always got those funny funny stuff come out from her. However, she's super stressed these days cos just took over duties from my previous supervisor.

But well, I have just agreed to help her with the logging, scripting and maybe cutting of the new anime trailers? Later cannot deliver the babies then die arh...

Anyway, today during dinner her husband came down to eat with her. The interesting thing is my supervisor looks quite "tomboyish" kind, always in cargo pants and cap. But when I see her with her husband, it's like super sweet.. cos they will go arcade together and vent out her anger!

Then when he was leaving, she was like "see you tomorrow!" cos we were staying back to do late editing. Ha.. I think her husband must have a good time laughing with her at home..

In today's world where girls doll themselves up, visit slimming centres and go for cosmetic surgery, looking pretty is almost common sense.

But i think many women really do it to retain their loved ones. When you are in your 20s, you wanna look good to attract men. When you are in your 30s-40s, you keep up so that hopefully your husband will not stray..

I mean seriously, if only men can learn to love their women for who they are and not how they look. Then, we dun even need all these shops!

I really hope there will be more couples like my supervisor and her husband.

Men who learn to love you for who you are. =)

Spoiler Ahead! Read at urown risk!

Yup, I have caught the movie. Special premiere, all thanks to Diana! And the invitation pass was in the form of the Willy Wonka golden ticket!

Watching a childhood story translated to big screen was such a joy for me! Though there's an older version, I was very much interested to see what Tim Burton would come up with.

And certainly, he did not disappoint the audience =). He captured the essence greatly though I felt Burton's adaption seemed less dark than the book. It was more of a heart-warming and cheerful tale.

The only flaw would be the lack of a climax in the movie. The fact that the story was famous was both a plus and minus pt for him. People watch it because they love the story. But people might end up losing the surprise element because they are so familiar with the story.

But still on the whole, Charlie Factory was a great show. And, really a good movie that the young and old will enjoy.
