Interview with the Mediacorp

The interview at mediacorp was okay but i think i made some mistakes in my answers. but well, just leave it into God's hands, if it's meant to be mine, it will be. If not, i am sure he has better plans for me at elsewhere.

it was raining cats & dogs, thank God Seow Chin lent me her umbrella if not i will be drenched walking up the slope. it was farnie but while eating at the canteen,i spotted someone who looked like liangyi & i thought it was an artiste. but well, in the end, it was really her! ha.. hope u did well for the interview man..

so sleeplyyyyyy now..... dun feel like going out at all, just wanna laze at home & sleep da afternoon away.

When boys meet girls

When they give you monosyllabic answers...

When they tease you about your fats, your lousy dress sense and for mopping over the male lead that died in the movie...

Men. Or boys, like how I like to call them.

We don't ever get enough of them, do we?

Gushing about your cute neighbour that stays on the 6th floor? The one we met at the arcade and your friend’s cousin's auntie's son who looks like Takeshi Kaneshiro?

Okay… you get the point. Girls like to talk about cute guys.

But it's surprising to see in survey stats that girls don't rank looks as the top priority for their life partners.

Character & career matter more to them.

But then again, maybe it's not that surprising considering that the made-up for men & women is different. We women, look beyond the superficiality factor.

Oops, that probably pressed the button in some men.

Actually, what women seek for is just comfort, security & someone that they can laugh along with. Someone to share your jokes & your ups & downs…We are actually easily contented…

Yeah right, I can almost hear instantaneous protests from my brothers now.

Well, women may be hard to please at times but seriously, if you know your woman deep enough, you know what it really takes to put a smile on her.

if u guys r looking out for a place 2 chill out, u could check out Griller at Tiong Bahru Plaza. The student meal we ate was only $4.90! there was free coke & the portion was great. the other stuff r pretty low-end as well... n most imptly, the crew's service was good~

Post exams

exams ended yesterdae n we celebrated it with

-acting for the seniors
-singing KTV again but with our new ktv flen!! not bad, just sing louder next time.ha ha
-eating nuggets at bedok
-taking a lot of fotos

n it just dawned upon me tat 2 years of my cmm life has like passed like tat. how did it happen? 4 semesters, marketing, percomm, med soc, mmp, photography,multicam, singlecam,radio etc.

all over.

i look back with a smile on my face. i din noe wad i was heading for when i applied for this dip. all i knew was i wanted a full-sch environment. i wanted 2 make frens, i wanted 2 be part of a community.

i thought i was the oldest arnd. but guess i wasnt alone =)

everyone whom i met says "you seem to be enjoying what you are doing"

u guys r rite, i am enjoying wad i doing now. never has studying been so fulfilling for me.

but of which, the frens i made-tat is wad i should treasure more.

i do hope we keep in contact always. wherever we may be.

i thank God for everything tat happened. and even for today.

Fun fun fun!

Yesterdae was just such an interesting day.. i had to blog it out here. skip it if u dun wanna noe wad happened 2 me the whole day.

after MME exam, we went to mac lab 2 print ally's stuff, in prep for her interview. since mac lab had probs printing. she went 2 free access lab while me & bin talked to JOHNNY! we both found him amusing, he speaks in such a gentle tone! aniwae all da best for ur next sem! we will see ya after SIP

then we headed for lunch at marrybrown. NEWLY OPENED at tampines, opp skol.

we sat down excitedly(okay, only me was excited) & wanted 2 eat. but shortly disappointed by the thumping music they were playing. for almost 10 min, there was this "pump pump pump" sound playing.

Bin: That sounds weird?
Me: Ya.. i was gonna ask u that. just "pump pump"
Ally: Sounds like renovation. maybe they recorded their renovation sounds and play it..

Haaa...

then we ate the unsalted fries, weird tasting whipped potatoes. only delicious thing was the chicken.

then we headed for bubble tea, where we did a mock-up interview for Ally in prep for her MTV interview. (yes, we r such nice folks! we went 2 pei her for her interview!)

N the hot question was: are you used to working long hrs in front of the comp?

And it came out!!! i should be a faciliator for pre-interview training.

after bidding farewell 2 clyde & bernard, we headed for orchard. on 518, ally & bin fell asleep. just when i was abt 2 take a photo of 'em, bin woke up! scary! she say "telepathy".

when we went MTV, we met this security guard who talks like how Jay Chou will rap. well, as usual i have the gift of deciphering his words into
"wad r you here for?" & "can i have your i/c please"

so we headed to level 4, atrium! wanted 2 go toilet & then realised that there was a code to enter. press 4X21.
maybe mediabiz studios should have a code instead. hmmm

when we stepped into(the office, not the toilet) lo n behold! we saw josh, keith & nick! n realised u could have free drinks cos the buttons on the vending machine r always on... n we saw UTT, n he saw us too! Hi UTT, i think u very cute on TV but why u dun look so cute in real life.... :(

and then we headed to ikea 2 repair some stuff. but just as we were at the park mall busstop, we burst into laughter when we saw Ally holding one portfolio & bin holding another.

A thousand apologies for our actions. I'm sorry if you were offended. pls understand tat we three gals have been under tremendous stress for the past 13 weeks in a particular polytechnic in the East.

we also have exams next week, which adds on to d stress level.

therefore, under such circumstances, i decided 2 amuse my frens by doing tat. besides, u really remind me of those good days when i used 2 study for my A levels at fastfood restaurants.

pls dun be mistaken. i will nt put ur photo online or fantasize the whole day about it.

it will probably just be in my harddisk for the next 10 years.

oops, i am just kidding. maybe till the next time i reformat my laptop.

i came online wanting 2 blog out all my thoughts about something

but managing 2 log into Vbus gt me excited!! cos i haven been able 2 log in for ages!

n downloading the notes & seeing my results for mep got me even more excited! thank God for d grades ~~~ now must really study hard!!

An entry on movies.

Watched two movies within a few hrs. Howl's Moving Castle & Shutter which i both watched for free.

the former, was kana cheated by bin to her hse. thought could do some wk. in d end, i was watchin movie while she did her website. bah. but it was nice. & bin says d male lead has my hair, just tat it's nicer.

the latter was screened by TPVC. on a side note, i think movie screenings r really popular with TP students. n d choice of movie is really impt. d whole LT was packed today n it was such cheap thrill hearing pple scream in d LT! so i really hope VC can continue to do such screenings in future =)

Hmmm.. Shutter was interesting, din find it tat scary maybe cos i read bout it before. but for an Asian film, i think its great. d angles, shots & stuff. esp the storyline, i think it was cool. the whole twists & stuff.

better go sleep. so tired.

An entry on Love

have u ever thought about it? the kind of guys u like might not be the kind of person that u end up with ultimately.

attraction is such a weird thing, aint it? i mean, your ideal kind of other half could be a certain kind of person with certain characteristics but yet it might turn out 2 be totally opposite. n this case i dun mean, just the external factors. like u like the tall & slim kind but end up with a short & fat man.

n dere really isnt such a thing as mr. right? i mean many people all their life, try & find the "so called" right one for 'em.. but wad if there isnt? wad if u r not meant 2 get married?

n shows like bachelor & bachelorette/s'pore version-eye for a guy just reminds me how people can fall in love with so many other women/men at the same time.

huh. how can tat be? i really dun understand.

today some one gave me a card. it said:
a true friend is someone who is there for you when they would rather be someplace else.

really?

but most of d times, i am quite happy 2 be at wadever place with my frens. cos its not the place, its 'em tat makes me happy =) even if it's in bad situations, i'd rather be dere for 'em at tat place, then 2 be far away.

as d sem draws to an end, i wunder abt d frenships i have made. i think i am quite bad at keeping frenships sometimes. seems like people i have been close to in certain sems, we hardly talk now.

lazy? or probably we r just companions at tat time?

so i suppose it will be d same when this sem ends.

was down at the career fair today collecting brochures and just checking out career prospects with my church mates.

quite disappted 2 noe tat NSW (S'pore branch) will only be offering digital media stuff. which means no excemptions. n not really related.

it seems like digital media is the way to go in d near future? though my media frens are skeptical about d opportunities in d market.

came home really tired. slept for a while & then showered.

now i am hungrily waiting for dinner which is nt coming cos no one is at home.. =(

well its only 2 more weeks to end of our school term & i am really looking forward to it.

everyoone more or less feels jaded about all the amount of sch work.

on a better note, i enjoyed the talk by jamie yeo/ong(haa now that she's married) & grace chua today! jamie is like soooooo skinny!!!! i almost wanted 2 ask if u need 2 b so skinny to b a DJ.. okay but of cos tats a stupid qn.

i also wanted 2 ask abt the "supposed" crush on our mister course manager well which i kept back of cos.. i mean, well. its the past. haha

but jamie seems like so nice, i felt she like answered everyone's questions sincerely. n she even remembers alvin from his tuition daes but well, tats another story.

so yeah.. maybe tats why she's like so popular. i felt kinda star-struck seeing her cos she's really quite pretty! n i think its cool that she's wants to put her family before anithing else. tats really great!!!
